It is a safe and effective treatment using a hand held laserscope and Is performed by many surgeons around the world.
Does it hurt?
With any laser cosmetic surgery treatment patients may experience a mild stinging or burning sensation during treatment which Is minimised with a special cooling system delivered by the laser hand piece to the surface of the skin. A topical anaesthetic cream can also be applied to sensitive areas one hour prior to treatment,
Are there any side-effects?
Following the treatment, patients may experience a slight reddening of the treated areas but this will fade quickly.
How long does the treatment take?
This depends on the size of the area to be treated and the severity of the condition and can take between 5 and 30 minutes. A course of treatments may be required for optimum results. This will be discussed at your initial consultatlon.
How long will the effects of the treatment last?
Effects arc long-lastlng and vary depending on the treatment. You wIII be advised at your initial consultation.
What aftercare will I need?
The clinic staff wll advise you at your initial consultation. Usually there minimal, very little down time. It is advisable to avoid direct exposure to sunlight for a few days after your procedure, or to use an effective sunscreen SPF 30. In addition we recommend that you cover up the treated area and refrain from smoking.
